At the heart of the city, at the heart of it all

A bit of Manhattan in the city centre of The Hague. That is the sense you will get when you live, work or shop in the Wijnhavenkwartier. It contains the tallest buildings in the city. A lively buzz will be created here, and a lot of things are going to happen at the same time. The Wijnhavenkwartier is located between The Hague city centre and The Hague Central Station. In addition, a convenient connection between the Turfmarkt and the Schedeldoekshaven will be created. This will make the Wijnhavenkwartier a completely new crossroads in the city centre. You can both literally and figuratively go in every direction: comfortable living, all the shops within walking distance, restaurants around the corner, studying, working, meeting. Ideal for all those who want to be at the heart of it all.

Everything close at hand

A location like this offers everything that makes life worth living. After you move into or start working in the Wijnhavenkwartier, you can stroll down to Exki or Bakker Bart at the Turfmarkt for breakfast. This location boasts an Albert Heijn supermarket as well. Alternatively, you could drink a cappuccino or have a bread roll in the Town Hall lunch room, or cross the Kalvermarkt, pass through the Korte Houtstraat and walk onto the bustling Plein. On sunny days, you have every chance of running into members of the House of Representatives at the outdoor cafes there. The Grote Marktstraat, which is currently undergoing a major make-over, is only a few hundred meters further down. The Nieuwe Passage, the Bijenkorf department store, Ekoplaza, the largest Oriental supermarket in the city, it is all there. There is a good reason why, until 2015, The Hague may call itself the Best City Centre of the Netherlands! However, the Wijnhavenkwartier has a lot to offer for those who love culture as well. You can walk from your home to the Filmhuis or a ballet at the Dr. Anton Philipszaal. Never a dull moment.
